July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Self-Diagnostic System

The Cruise Control Module (CCM) has a self-diagnostic capability. In addition to an on-board diagnostic test, Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) can be read through the CRUISE indicator light on instrument panel.

In many cases, when a system fault has been identified by the CCM, cruise operation will automatically be disabled and a DTC will be stored in memory. When this occurs, CRUISE indicator light will flash whenever driver attempts to re-engage cruise control system.
