Purge Control Solenoid

Purging evaporative emissions from charcoal canister is controlled by ECU using purge control solenoid. When solenoid is energized, manifold vacuum passes through solenoid to open canister purge control valve diaphragm located on top of canister. Ported vacuum is then used to purge canister.
