Feedback Control Solenoid

  1. Disconnect upper No. 32 vacuum hose from feedback solenoid and plug hose. Connect vacuum pump to solenoid. See Fig 1 . Start engine and apply vacuum to valve. If solenoid holds vacuum, fault is in ECU control circuit. Go to TROUBLE SHOOTING  .
  2. If solenoid does not hold vacuum, increase engine speed to about 2500 RPM and apply vacuum. If vacuum holds, solenoid is functioning properly. If solenoid does not hold vacuum, fault is in ECU control circuit. Go to TROUBLE SHOOTING  .
