Computerized Engine Controls: Notes
The computerized engine controls are used to control fuel, ignition and emission control systems. The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) used for each system accepts input signals from various input components. The ECU compares each of input signals it receives with a preprogrammed parameter preset in its memory. It instantly analyzes each of the input values and adjusts output signals, accordingly. This allows vehicle to perform optimally under a wide variety of operating conditions.
