Shift Lever Position Switch Testing

Remove front console. Disconnect 10-pin connector from console switch. Check continuity between terminals No. 1 and 7. See Fig 1 . Continuity should be present between terminals when shift lever is in "2", "D" and "D4" positions. There should be no continuity when shift lever is in "N", "R" and "P" positions. If continuity is not as specified, replace switch.
