Removal & Installation: Notes

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 1992 Honda Prelude, 1992 Honda Civic, 1992 Honda Accord, 1991 Honda Prelude, and 1991 Honda Civic. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING: Wait about 3 minutes after disabling air bag system. Back-up power circuit maintains system voltage for about 3 minutes after battery is disconnected. Servicing air bag system before 3 minutes have elapsed may cause accidental air bag deployment and possible personal injury.
CAUTION: The 1991 Accord Wagon and all 1992 models are equipped with Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). SRS wiring harness is routed close to instrument cluster, steering wheel and related components. All SRS wiring harnesses are covered by Yellow outer insulation. DO NOT use electrical test equipment on these circuits. Before working on steering column components, disable air bag system. See AIR BAG article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section.
NOTE: On 1992 Accord EX and Prelude, radio/cassette or radio/CD player contain an anti-theft protection circuit. Whenever battery is disconnected, radio goes into anti-theft mode. When battery is reconnected, radio displays CODE and is inoperative until proper code number is entered by vehicle owner.
