Circuit Description
The VSS circuit uses a hall effect switch to inform the PCM of vehicle speed.
Conditions required to set DTC are:
- Engine is running.
- ECT is above 140°F (60°C).
- Engine speed is between 1800-2500 RPM.
- Throttle angle is between 10-100 percent.
- Engine load is greater than 50 kPa.
- PCM detects no VSS signal for 125 seconds over a period of 25 seconds.
