Power Window Motor Circuit Test

  1. Remove appropriate power window switch assembly. Disconnect power window switch harness connector. Using fused jumper wires, apply battery voltage and ground to specified connector terminals. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR CIRCUIT TEST table. SeeFigure and Figure .
  2. Power window motors should operate unless already at maximum travel. Reverse test leads. Power window motors should operate in opposite direction. If power window motors operate as specified, wiring circuits are okay. If power window motors do not operate as specified, repair circuit as necessary. If circuit is okay, check power window motor and replace as necessary. See procedures under POWER WINDOW MOTOR TEST  under COMPONENT TESTING.
