Rear Wiper Control Unit Input Test: Cr-V

  1. Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM articles below. Turn ignition off. Remove instrument panel lower left cover. Remove left knee bolster. Disconnect 8-pin connector from integrated control unit, located behind left side of center console.
  2. Inspect connector terminals for damage or corrosion. Repair as necessary and retest system. If connector and terminals are okay, using a DVOM, perform rear wiper control unit input test as indicated. See Fig 1. If an input test indicates a problem, find and correct cause and retest system. If all input test results are okay, replace faulty multiplex communications control unit.
