CR-V (Rear)

  1. Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Remove driver's lower dash cover and knee bolster. Unplug 15-pin connector from integrated control unit and remove unit from underdash fuse/relay box.
  2. Inspect connector terminals for damage or corrosion. See Figure. Repair as necessary and retest system. If connector and terminals are okay, use a DVOM to perform control unit input tests. See Fig 1. If an input test indicates a problem, find and correct cause and retest system. If all input test results are okay, replace faulty integrated control unit.
