Set/Resume Switch
NOTE:
On models with radio theft protection system, obtain radio security code from vehicle owner before disconnecting battery cable.
- Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect positive battery cable. Wait at least 3 minutes.
- Remove driver's side lower dashboard cover and knee bolster. Disconnect driver's side air bag connector. On CR-V, disconnect passenger's side air bag connector. On all models, disconnect cable reel 3-pin (Civic) or 6-pin (CR-V) connector. Check for continuity between specified terminals of cable reel connector, with SET/RESUME switch in appropriate position. . If continuity is as specified, SET/RESUME switch is okay. If continuity is not as specified, go to next step.CABLE REEL HARNESS CONTINUITY

- Remove SET/RESUME switch from steering wheel. Check for continuity between SET/RESUME switch terminals, with switch in appropriate position. See SET/RESUME SWITCH CONTINUITY . See Fig 3 . If continuity is as specified, switch is okay, replace cable reel. If continuity is not as specified, replace SET/RESUME switch.
- Reconnect all disconnected air bag connectors. Connect cable reel 3-pin (Civic) or 6-pin (CR-V) connector. Connect SET/RESUME switch to steering wheel. Connect positive battery cable. Connect negative battery cable. Turn ignition on. Ensure SRS indicator light illuminates for about 6 seconds, and then goes off.
