Always use Honda MTF Manual Transmission Fluid. P/N 08798-9016.

If not available you may use 10W-30 or 10W-40 motor oil as a temporary replacement. An SG grade is preferred, but an SH or SJ grade may be used if SG grade is not available. Replace with Honda MTF as soon as it is convenient. Using motor oil can cause stiffer shifting because it does not contain the proper additives.
