OPEN/CLOSE function of the display does not work

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect the navigation display connector B (10P) and CD changer 18P connector.
  3. Check for continuity between navigation display connector B (10P) terminal No. 10 and body ground.

    Is there continuity? 

    1. YES  - Repair short in the wire between navigation display connector B (10P) terminal No. 10 and CD changer.
    2. NO  - Go to step 4.
  4. Substitute a known-good navigation display, and check to see if the display opens and closes normally.

    Does the display work normally? 

    1. YES  - Replace the navigation display (see NAVIGATION DISPLAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  ).
    2. NO  - Replace the CD changer (see CD CHANGER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
