(1) With 22 lbs. (10 kg) pressure applied at midpoint of longest belt run.
(2) Automatic belt tensioner is used to maintain proper drive belt adjustment. Ensure pointer on automatic belt tensioner housing is not beyond edge of indicator rib on tensioner base. See Fig 1. Replace belt if stretched beyond its limit.
(3) Generator and A/C compressor use a common drive belt.
(4) Install new belt to new specification. Run for 5 minutes and readjust to used belt specification.
(5) Specification is for a used belt. Belt is considered used when it has been run for 5 minutes or more.
