Navigation cannot control XM radio

Review the audio system diagnostic section.
If only channels 0, 1 and 247 and I can be received, check the customer account status.

Go into the Diagnostic Menu and use the "Navi System Link" test (see NAVI SYSTEM LINK ).
Is only the "XM" icon red?
1. YES - Check the connector at the XM receiver and navigation unit 20P connector. If the connection is OK, substitute a known-good XM receiver, and recheck. If the symptom goes away, replace the original XM receiver.
2. NO - Go to step 2.
Substitute a known-good navigation unit (see NAVIGATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ), and recheck.
Can the navigation control the XM radio?
1. YES - Replace the navigation unit (see NAVIGATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
2. NO - Do the audio system troubleshooting.
