Always use Honda MTF Manual Transmission Fluid. P/N 08798-9016.

If not available you may use 10W-30 or 10W-40 motor oil as a temporary replacement. An API Certification seal that says "For Gasoline Engines" should be used as a temporary replacement. Replace with Honda MTF as soon as it is convenient. Using motor oil can cause stiffer shifting because it does not contain the proper additives.
