DTC P061F: Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS) Malfunction

Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Clear the DTC with the HDS.
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC P061F indicated?
1. YES - Update the PCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM (see PCM UPDATING AND SUBSTITUTION FOR TESTING ), then recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good PCM, replace the original PCM (see PCM REPLACEMENT ).
2. NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the throttle body, and the PCM.
