ERROR MESSAGE CHART

Error Message Solution
Navigation system is unable to acquire a proper GPS signal.
  • Move vehicle to another location
  • Turn the ignition switch off
  • Disconnect the battery for 30 min to clear the GPS receiver's memory
  • Reconnect the battery and follow the screen prompts
No GPS reception. See repair for "SATELLITE MARK IS NOT INDICATED ."
Navigation unit door is open or No DVD Disc installed. Please check system. Check that the DVD disc is installed with the label side up and the navigation unit door is fully snapped closed. If OK, replace the navigation unit.
No DVD Disc, please Check system. Check that the DVD disc is installed with the label side up. If OK, replace the navigation unit.
System is shutting down now to conserve battery. This error is displayed if there is no operation of the navigation system in any mode for 5 minutes when the engine is not running or a loss of the alternator signal (CHG) input when the engine is running.
Display temp is too high. System will shut down until display cools down. The navigation display contains a thermistor that is placed on the PCB such that the thermistor reaching 105 °C corres ponds with the LCD reaching a temperature of around 194°F (90°C). Beyond 194°F (90°C) the LCD can be damaged. This message will appear briefly, and then the display will turn off until the temperature cools down.
Outside temperature is low, system will take a while to start up. The temperature is below -22°F (-30°C) and the navigation ECU has difficulties reading the DVD. If no DVD reading error occurs, this error should not occur even if the temperature is below -22°F (-30°C).
DVD Disc reading error (unformatted), please consult your dealer. Check the DVD disc surface for deep scratches or other damage. If OK, replace the navigation unit.
Route has not been completed. Please try again from a difference location. User tried planning a route from a digitized area to a non-digitized area.
No alternate route found. Original route will be guided. User tried to change the route method, but no alternative route was found.
This destination cannot be found in database. POI or destination was not found in the database.

System cannot define vehicle position please drive for a while. Loss of map matching. Confirm GPS, Yaw Rate, and VSP inputs are working normally. Drive vehicle on a digitized road until the current road being on is displayed across the bottom of the screen within the blue shaded area.
Database old (or outdated), please see your dealer. Check the DVD disc surface for deep scratches or other damage. If OK, replace the navigation unit.
