DTC 2601: Display Diag: Connect

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2015 Honda Crosstour, 2014 Honda Crosstour, 2013 Honda Crosstour, 2012 Honda Crosstour, and 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
  • Check the vehicle battery condition first (see BATTERY TEST ).
  • This navigation DTC sets when a GA-Net bus problem is detected (open or short), or an internal ECU bus circuit problem is detected (open or short).
  • Check for B-CAN DTCs and resolve them before troubleshooting.
  • Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information (see GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION  ).
  1. Clear the hard error code (see HOW TO CLEAR ERROR HISTORY  ).
  2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
  3. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu (see SYSTEM LINKS  ).
  4. Check the System Links.

    Is the Display icon red? 

    YES  -Go to next step.

    NO  -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

  5. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at these items:
    • Navigation unit connector B (32P)
    • Navigation display unit 28P connector
    • Audio unit connector A (14P)
    • XM receiver connector A (14P)
    • USB adapter control unit connector A (14P)
    • Audio disc changer 14P connector

      Are the connections OK? 

      YES  -Go to next step.

      NO  -Repair poor connections or loose terminals, and recheck.

  6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  7. Disconnect navigation unit connector B (32P) and the navigation display unit 28P connector.
  8. Connect navigation unit connector B (32P) terminals No. 7 and No. 23 with a jumper wire.

  9. Check for continuity between navigation display unit 28P connector terminals No. 10 and No. 24.

    Is there continuity? 

    YES  -Go to next step.

    NO  -There is an open in the wire between the navigation unit and the navigation display unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.

  10. Disconnect the jumper wire.
  11. Disconnect these items:
    • Audio unit connector E (14P)
    • XM receiver connector A (14P)
    • USB adapter control unit connector A (14P)
    • Audio disc changer 14P connector
  12. Check for continuity between navigation display unit 28P connector terminals No. 10 and No. 24, and between terminals No. 12 and No. 26.

    Is there continuity? 

    YES  -There is a short in the wire(s) between GA-Net (+) and (-) wire. Replace the affected shielded harness.

    NO  -Go to next step.

  13. Check for continuity between body ground and navigation display unit 28P connector terminals No. 10 and No. 24 individually.

    Is there continuity? 

    YES  -There is a short to body ground in the wire(s) between the navigation display unit and the navigation unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.

    NO  -Go to next step.

  14. Reconnect the all connectors, then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  15. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu (see SYSTEM LINKS  ).
  16. Check the System Links.

    Is the Display icon red? 

    YES  -Go to next step.

    NO  -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

  17. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  18. Disconnect audio unit connector E (14P), and then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  19. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu (see SYSTEM LINKS  ).
  20. Check the System Links.

    Is the Display icon red? 

    YES  -Go to next step.

    NO  -Internal short circuit in the audio unit.

  21. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  22. Connect audio unit connector E (14P).
  23. Disconnect XM receiver connector A (14P), and then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  24. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu (see SYSTEM LINKS  ).
  25. Check the System Links.

    Is the Display icon red? 

    YES  -Go to next step.

    NO  -Internal short circuit in the XM receiver.

  26. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  27. Connect XM receiver connector A (14P).
  28. Disconnect USB adapter control unit connector A (14P), and then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  29. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu (see SYSTEM LINKS  ).
  30. Check the System Links.

    Is the Display icon red? 

    YES  -Go to next step.

    NO  -Internal short circuit in the USB adapter control unit.

  31. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  32. Connect USB adapter control unit connector A (14P).
  33. Disconnect audio disc changer 14P connector, and then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  34. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu (see SYSTEM LINKS  ).
  35. Check the System Links.

    Is the Display icon red? 

    YES  -Replace the navigation display unit (see NAVIGATION DISPLAY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  ).

    NO  -Internal short circuit in the audio disc changer.
