Park Pin Switch Test
- Remove the shift lever console trim (see SHIFT LEVER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
).
- Remove the shift lever mounting bolts (A).

- Disconnect the park pin switch connector (A).

- Move the shift lever to P and release the shift lever button, then check for continuity between connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be no continuity.
- Move out of P or press the shift lever button while in P, and check for continuity between connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be continuity.
- If the park pin switch is faulty, replace it.
