'07-08 Models

  1. Remove the driver's airbag assembly (see DRIVER S AIRBAG REPLACEMENT ).
  2. Remove the two screws and cover (A) from the steering wheel.

  3. Remove the two screws from the audio remote switch (B).
  4. Disconnect the 4P connector from the audio remote switch.
  5. Measure the resistance between the No. 3 and No. 4 terminals in each switch position according to the table below.

    Position Resistance
    No button pressed About 10 kΩ
    MODE About 2.4 kΩ
    CH About 900 Ω
    ↑ (VOL. UP) About 300 Ω
    ↓ (VOL. DOWN) About 50 Ω
  6. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the audio remote switch.
