CD Cannot Be Inserted Or Is Ejected Right After Insertion

- CHECK CD
- Check whether a normal CD is inserted.
- Make sure that the CD is a normal audio CD, and that there is no deformation, flaw, stain, burr or other defect on the CD.
OK: A normal audio CD is inserted.
HINT:
- Translucent or oddly-shaped CDs cannot be played.
- Computer CD-ROMs (even those with music) and CD-R discs cannot be played.
- Playing an 8 cm CD does not require an adapter.
- Make sure that the CD is a normal audio CD, and that there is no deformation, flaw, stain, burr or other defect on the CD.
NG: CD IS FAULTY
OK: Go to next step
- Check whether a normal CD is inserted.
- CHECK WHETHER CD IS INSERTED PROPERLY
- Check whether the CD is inserted properly.
- Check whether or not the CD is inserted upside down.
OK: Not upside down.
- Check whether or not the CD is inserted upside down.
NG: INSERT CD PROPERLY
OK: Go to Next Step
- Check whether the CD is inserted properly.
- CLEAN CD
- Clean the disc.
- If the disc gets dirty, clean the disc by wiping the surface from the center to the outside, in a radial direction, with a soft cloth as shown in Fig 1.
OK: The malfunction disappears.
NOTE: Do not use a conventional record cleaner or anti-static preservative.OK: Not upside down.

OK: CD WAS DIRTY
NG: Go to next step
- Clean the disc.
- OPERATION USING ANOTHER CD
- Replace the CD with another and recheck.
- Replace the CD with another normal one to see whether the same trouble occurs again.
OK: The malfunction disappears.
- Replace the CD with another normal one to see whether the same trouble occurs again.
NG: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
OK: CD IS FAULTY
- Replace the CD with another and recheck.
