Room Light Assembly: Inspection

- INSPECT ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY
- Check the resistance.
- Measure the resistance using an ohmmeter, and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY .
Standard
ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLYTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 OFF 10 k or higher 1 - 3 OFF 10 k or higher 2 - 3 OFF 10 k or higher 1 - 2 DOOR Below 1 1 - 3 ON Below 1 If the result is not as specified, replace the room light assembly.
- Measure the resistance using an ohmmeter, and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY .
- Check the light operation.
- Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 1 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 2, then check that the light comes on when the switch is in the DOOR position.
Standard: Light comes on.
If the light does not come on, replace the bulb.
- Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 1 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 3, then check that the light comes on when the switch is in the ON position.
Standard: Light comes on.
If the light does not come on, replace the bulb.
- Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 1 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 2, then check that the light comes on when the switch is in the DOOR position.
- Check the resistance.
