Wiper/Washer Switch Input Test
- Remove the wiper/washer switch (see WIPER/WASHER SWITCH TEST/REPLACEMENT ).
- With the connector connected, make these input tests at the connector.
- If a test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If the input tests prove OK, go to step 3.
PROBLEM SYMPTOMS CHARTCavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if result is not obtained 14 GRN/BLK Ignition switch ON (II) Measure the voltage to ground: There should be battery voltage. - Blown No. 6 (30 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box

4 BLK Under all conditions Measure the voltage to ground: There should be less than 0.5 V. - Poor ground (G402)
- An open in the wire
12 BLU/WHT Ignition switch ON (II), the windshield wiper switch in "INT" Measure the voltage between the No. 12 and No. 4 terminals: There should be battery voltage when the wipers are in the parked position. There should be 0 V when the wipers are off the park position. - Faulty wipers/washers switch
- Faulty windshield wiper motor
- An open in the wire
- Disconnect the connector from the windshield wiper/washer switch.
- If the test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If the input test prove OK, go to wiper/washer switch test (see WIPER/WASHER SWITCH TEST/REPLACEMENT ).

6 WHT/BLK Connect the No. 6 terminal to the No. 14 terminal with a jumper wire, and turn the ignition switch ON (II) Washer motor should run - Faulty washer motor
- Poor ground (G201)
- An open in the wire
