Inspection Procedure

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BATTERY)
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the E7 ECM connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION .
Standard Voltage (1GR-FE)
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester connection Condition Specification PI (E7-18) - Body ground Ignition ON 10 to 14 V Standard Voltage (2TR-FE)
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester connection Condition Specification PI (E7-18) - Body ground Ignition ON 10 to 14 V
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG: Go to Next Step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - ECM)
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the E7 ECM connector.
- Disconnect the combination meter C9 connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION .
Standard Resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester connection Condition Specification C9-24 - PI (E7-18) Always Below 1Ω C9-24 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher - Reconnect the combination meter connector.
- Reconnect the ECM connector.
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - ECM)

OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)
- Disconnect the C9 combination meter connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION .
Standard Voltage
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester connection Condition Specification C9-21 - Body ground Ignition ON 10 to 14 V - Reconnect the combination meter connector.
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - BATTERY)
OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
