Malfunction Threshold

A malfunction is detected if these three conditions are not present after the engine and the ignition switch have been off for at least 6 hours before restarting the engine.

• The temperature (IAT minus ECT1) is not 43 °F (24 °C) or less.
• The temperature (IAT minus ECT2) is not 21 °F (12 °C) or less.
• The temperature (ECT2 minus ECT1) is not 32 °F (18 °C) or less.
