Audio Remote Switch Test

Remove the instrument panel (see INSTRUMENT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Disconnect the 6P connector from the audio remote switch (see AUDIO REMOTE SWITCH REPLACEMENT ).

Measure resistance between terminals No. 5 and No. 6 in each switch position according to the table. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the audio remote switch.

(No button pressed)	About 10 kΩ.
VOL. UP (+)	About 263 Ω
VOL. DOWN (-)	About 512 Ω
CH	About 1.1 kΩ
MODE	About 2.5 kΩ

Reconnect audio remote switch 6P connector.
Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the illumination bulb(s) or the audio remote switch.

With the MUTE switch ON, check for continuity between terminals No. 2 (+) and No. 1 (-).
There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, replace the audio remote switch.
