DTC B1906: Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit Lost Communication with Gauge Control Module (A/T Message)

NOTE:
If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see
TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A
).
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back ON (II).
- Wait for 6 seconds or more.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1906 indicated?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the immobilizer-keyless control unit and the gauge control module.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are DTCs B1061, B1359, B1808, and B1956 also indicated?
YES - Do the gauge control module input test (see GAUGE CONTROL MODULE INPUT TEST ).
NO - Do the immobilizer-keyless control unit input test (see IMMOBILIZER-KEYLESS CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST ).
