Rearview camera image does not change

NOTE:
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  2. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode (see SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC MODE  ), and use Hard Key test under Unit Check (see UNIT CHECK (QUICK CHECK)  ).

    Does the interface dial ENTER button work properly? 

    YES  -Go to step 3.

    NO  -Go to INTERFACE DIAL BUTTONS DO NOT WORK TROUBLESHOOTING  .

  3. With the brake pedal pressed, move the shift lever into the R position.
  4. Press the ENTER button several times, and check the rearview camera image.

    Do any of the three camera views appear on the screen? 

    YES  -Go to step 5.

    NO  -Go to REARVIEW CAMERA IMAGE DOES NOT COME ON OR WORK PROPERLY TROUBLESHOOTING  .

  5. Press the ENTER button to see if the rearview image changes between the wide view, the normal view, and the top down view in this order.

    Does the rearview camera image change properly? 

    YES  -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

    NO  -Go to step 6.

  6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  7. Disconnect the navigation display unit 32P connector and the rearview camera 12P connector.
  8. Check for continuity between body ground and rearview camera 12P connector terminals No. 7 and No. 8 individually.

    Is there continuity? 

    YES  -There is a short to ground in the wire(s) between the navigation display unit and the rearview camera. Replace the affected shielded harness.

    NO  -Go to step 9.

  9. Check for continuity between rearview camera 12P connector terminals No. 7 and No. 8.

    Is there continuity? 

    YES  -There is a short in the wires between the navigation display unit and the rearview camera. Replace the affected shielded harness.

    NO  -Go to step 10.

  10. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  11. Measure the voltage between body ground and rearview camera 12P connector terminals No. 7 and No. 8 individually.

    Is there less than 2.0 V? 

    YES  -Go to step 12.

    NO  -There is a short to power in the wire(s) between the navigation display unit and the rearview camera. Replace the affected shielded harness.

  12. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  13. Check for continuity between the navigation display unit 32P connector and the rearview camera 12P connector according to the table.

    Is there continuity? 

    YES  -Replace the rearview camera (see REARVIEW CAMERA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  ).

    NO  -There is an open in the wire between the navigation display unit and the rearview camera. Replace the affected shielded harness.
