Front Passenger's Power Window Motor Test

Motor Test
- Remove the front passenger's power window switch panel (see FRONT PASSENGER'S POWER WINDOW SWITCH REPLACEMENT ).
- Test the motor in each direction by connecting battery power and ground to the front passenger's power window switch 37P connector (A) according to the table.

- If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, go to step 4, if the motor runs smoothly, go to step 9.
- Remove the door panel (see FRONT DOOR PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the 6P connector (A) from the front passenger's power window motor (B).
- Check for continuity between the front passenger's power window switch 37P connector terminals and front passenger's power window motor 6P connector terminals as shown. There should be continuity.CONNECTOR TERMINAL REFERENCE CHART
Front passenger's power window switch 37P connector Front passenger's power window motor 6P connector 1 (BLU) 1 (BLU) 2 (RED) 2 (RED) - If there is no continuity, repair an open or high resistance in the wire(s). If the wire harness is OK, faulty front passenger's power window motor; replace the front passenger's power window motor (see FRONT POWER WINDOW MOTOR REMOVAL
).
Hall IC Unit (Pulser) Test
- Check for continuity between passenger's power window motor 6P connector terminal No. 4 and body ground. There should be continuity.
- If there is continuity, go to step 9 (see step 9 ).
- If there is no continuity, check for an open or high resistance in the BLK wire or poor ground (G401).
- Do the front passenger's power window switch input test at terminals No. 35, No. 36, and No. 37 (see FRONT PASSENGER'S POWER WINDOW SWITCH INPUT TEST ).
