Radiator Replacement

  1. Remove the A/C condenser fan shroud and the radiator fan shroud (see FAN, FAN MOTOR, AND SHROUD REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  ).
  2. Raise the vehicle on the lift.
  3. Drain the engine coolant (see COOLANT REPLACEMENT  ).
  4. Disconnect the lower radiator hose (A) and the ECT sensor 2 connector (B)

  5. Disconnect the ATF cooler hoses (C), then plug the ATF cooler hoses and the lines:
  6. Lower the vehicle on the lift.
  7. Disconnect the upper radiator hose (A), then pull up the radiator (B).

  8. Remove the other parts from the radiator.
  9. Install radiator in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the upper and lower cushions are set securely.
  10. Install the A/C condenser fan shroud and the radiator fan shroud (see INSTALLATION  ).
  11. Refill the transmission with the ATF:
  12. Fill the radiator with engine coolant, and bleed the air from the cooling system (see COOLANT CHECK  ).
  13. Clean up any spilled engine coolant.
