Park Pin Switch Test

- Remove the center lower console (see CENTER LOWER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the shift lever 12P connector (A).
- Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the figure below.
- If the continuity is not as specified, check the shift cable adjustmet:
- 6-speed A/T model (see SHIFT CABLE ADJUSTMENT ).
- 5-speed A/T model (see SHIFT CABLE ADJUSTMENT ).
If the cable adjustment is OK, replace the park pin switch:
- 6-speed A/T model (see PARK PIN SWITCH REPLACEMENT ).
- 5-speed A/T model (see PARK PIN SWITCH REPLACEMENT ).
