Park Pin Switch Test

Remove the center lower console (see CENTER LOWER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Disconnect the shift lever 12P connector (A).

Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the figure below.

If the continuity is not as specified, check the shift cable adjustmet:
- 6-speed A/T model (see SHIFT CABLE ADJUSTMENT ).
- 5-speed A/T model (see SHIFT CABLE ADJUSTMENT ).
If the cable adjustment is OK, replace the park pin switch:
- 6-speed A/T model (see PARK PIN SWITCH REPLACEMENT ).
- 5-speed A/T model (see PARK PIN SWITCH REPLACEMENT ).
