Tailgate Outer Handle Switch Test/Replacement: Test

  1. Remove the tailgate lower trim panel (see TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - TAILGATE AREA ).
  2. Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the tailgate outer handle switch.

  3. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the figure below.

  4. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the tailgate outer handle switch.
