DTC 1002: SD Read Error

NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first BATTERY TEST
- This navigation DTC sets when there is a problem with the SD module after updating the map data.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the general troubleshooting information (see GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
- Clear the hard error code (see HOW TO CLEAR ERROR HISTORY ).
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).
- Check for the hard error code (see HOW TO CHECK ERROR HISTORY (NAVIGATION DTCS)
).
Is DTC 1002 indicated?
YES -Go to step 4.
NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Do the map data update procedure.
- Clear the hard error codes (see HOW TO CLEAR ERROR HISTORY ).
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).
- Check for the hard error code (see HOW TO CHECK ERROR HISTORY (NAVIGATION DTCS)
).
Is DTC 1002 indicated?
YES -Replace the SD module (see SD MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
