DTC 81: TPMS Control Unit Failure
NOTE:
Low 12 volt battery voltage can cause this DTC. Make sure the 12 volt battery is fully charged and in good condition (see
12 VOLT BATTERY TEST
).
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), then turn the ignition switch to ON (II) again.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 81 indicated?
YES -Replace the TPMS control unit (see TPMS CONTROL UNIT REPLACEMENT ).
NO -The system is OK at this time. Check for loose terminals and poor connections at the TPMS control unit.
