Shift Lever Bracket Base Replacement

  1. Remove the shift lever assembly (see SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL  ).
  2. Remove the shift lever knob, the AT gear position indicator panel, the park pin switch harness/shift lock solenoid/A/T gear position indicator panel light assembly, the shift lock release, the shift lock release spring, and the shift lock stop/shift lock stop cushion from the shift lever assembly (see SHIFT LEVER DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY  ).
  3. Replace the shift lever bracket base (A).
    NOTE: The park pin switch (B) is built into the shift lever bracket base.

  4. Install the shift lock stop/shift lock stop cushion, the shift lock release spring, the shift lock release, the park pin switch harness/shift lock solenoid/AT gear position indicator panel light assembly, the AT gear position indicator panel, and the shift lever knob to the shift lever bracket base (see SHIFT LEVER DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY  ).
  5. Install the shift lever assembly (see SHIFT LEVER INSTALLATION  ).
