Driver's Door Switch Circuit Troubleshooting
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- With the driver's door closed, select SECURITY with the HDS, and enter the DATA LIST.
- Check the ON/OFF information of the DRIVER'S DOOR SWITCH in the DATA LIST.
Is the data list value indicated ON?
YES - Go to step 4
NO - Go to step 9
- Remove the driver's door switch.
- Disconnect the driver's door switch 1P connector.
- Check for continuity between driver's door switch 1P connector and switch ground.

Is there no continuity when the switch is pushed and is there continuity when the switch is released?
YES - Go to step 7
NO - Faulty driver's door switch; replace the driver's door switch.
- Disconnect under-dash fuse/relay box connector C (49P).
- Check for continuity between under-dash fuse/relay box connector C (49P) terminal No. 33 and body ground.Fig 2: Checking For Continuity Between Under-Dash Fuse/Relay Box Connector C (49P) Terminal No. 33 And Body Ground

Is there continuity?
YES - Repair a short to ground in the wire.
NO - Faulty MICU; replace the under-dash fuse/relay box:
- For USA model (see USA MODELS ).
- For Canada model (see CANADA MODELS ).
- Remove the driver's door switch.
- Disconnect the driver's door switch 1P connector.
- Check for continuity between the driver's door switch 1P connector and switch ground.
Is there no continuity when the switch is pushed and is there continuity when the switch is released?
YES - Go to step 12
NO - Faulty driver's door switch; replace the driver's door switch.
- Connect under-dash fuse/relay box connector C (49P) terminal No. 33 and body ground with a jumper wire.
- Check the ON/OFF information of the DRIVER'S DOOR SWITCH in the DATA LIST.
Is the data list value indicated ON?
YES - Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.
NO - Faulty MICU; replace the under-dash fuse/relay box:
- For USA model (see USA MODELS ).
- For Canada model (see CANADA MODELS ).
