  1. Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3, 000 rpm without load (in P or N) until the radiator fan comes on.
  2. Drive the vehicle at 25 mph (40 km/h) or more for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Check the engine oil dilution with a scan tool. If it stays at a specific condition (the HDS parameter [ENGINE OIL DILUTION INFLUENCED RATE] is not 0 (no unit)), drive the vehicle additionally at 25 mph (40 km/h) or more.
  4. Drive the vehicle at a steady speed of 25 mph (40 km/h) or less, for at least 5 minutes.
  5. Drive immediately at a steady speed of 33 mph (52 km/h) or more and engine speed between 1, 250 - 2, 350 rpm for at least 6.8 seconds.
    • Since the estimated dilution value does not stable after the battery is reconnected, do not disconnect the battery during the test.
    • Drive the vehicle in this manner only if the traffic regulations and ambient conditions allow.
