Climate Control Unit Inputs and Outputs

WIRE COLOR SPECIFICATION

1 BLK/YEL IG2 Power source for control unit (IG2) With ignition switch ON (II): battery voltage
2 WHT/BLU MODE3 Detects mode control motor position signal With ignition switch ON (II): less than 0.5 V or about 5.0 V (depending on mode control motor position)
3 RED/BLU MODE2 Detects mode control motor position signal With ignition switch ON (II): less than 0.5 V or about 5.0 V (depending on mode control motor position)
4 RED/YEL MODE1 Detects mode control motor position signal With ignition switch ON (II): less than 0.5 V or about 5.0 V (depending on mode control motor position)
5 YEL AMD-P AS Detects passenger's air mix potential signal With ignition switch ON (II): about 1.5-4.5 V (depending on passenger's air mix motor position)
6 PNK/BLK AMD-P DR Detects driver's air mix potential signal With ignition switch ON (II): about 0.5-4.5 V (depending on driver's air mix motor position)
7 BRN TEVA Detects evaporator temperature sensor signal With ignition switch ON (II): about 1.0-4.0 V (depending on evaporator temperature)
8 LT BLU TR Detects in-car temperature sensor signal With ignition switch ON (II): about 1.0-4.0 V (depending on in-car temperature)
9 PNK TAM Detects outside air temperature sensor signal With ignition switch ON (II): about 1.0-4.0 V (depending on out side air temperature)
10 ORN TSUN Detects sunlight sensor signal With ignition switch ON (II) and sensor out of direct sunlight: 3.6-3.7 V or more
With ignition switch ON (II) and sensor in direct sunlight: 3.3-3.5 V or less
11 BLU/RED BLW-V Detects blower motor feedback With ignition switch ON (II): about 0 V-battery voltage (depending on blower motor speed)
12 BLU/YEL BLW-G Drives power transistor With ignition switch ON (II) and fan control switch OFF: less than 0.5 V
With ignition switch ON (II) and fan control switch ON: about 4.0 V-battery voltage (depending on blower motor control)
13 RED/BLK SMALL Illumination (+) With combination light switch ON: battery voltage
14 RED ILL- Illumination control With illumination switch ON: changed voltage (depending on dash light brightness controller)
15 BLK GND Ground circuit (G401) Less than 0.5 V at all times
16 PNK/BLU M-HOT DR Drives driver's air mix control motor With ignition switch ON (II) and driver's air mix control motor change to the max COOL position: less than 0.5 V at several seconds
17 GRN M-COOL DR Drives driver's air mix control motor With ignition switch ON (II) and driver's air mix control motor change to the max HOT position: less than 0.5 V at several seconds
18 YEL/RED M-VENT Drives mode control motor With ignition switch ON (II) and mode control motor change to the DEF position: less than 0.5 V at several seconds
19 YEL/BLU M-DEF Drives mode control motor With ignition switch ON (II) and mode control motor change to the VENT position: less than 0.5 V at several seconds
20 YEL/BLK M-COOL AS Drives passenger's air mix control motor With ignition switch ON (II) and passenger's air mix control motor change to the max HOT position: less than 0.5 V at several seconds
21 LT GRN M-HOT AS Drives passenger's air mix control motor With ignition switch ON (II) and passenger's air mix control motor change to the max COOL position: less than 0.5 V at several seconds
22 RED/BLK SENS-COM Sensor ground Less than 0.5 V at all times
23 GRY S5V Provides motor reference voltage With ignition switch ON (II): about 5.0V
24 WHT/BLU NAVI-SI Communication signal to navigation With ignition switch ON (II): pulse
25 WHT/BLK NAVI-CLK Communication signal from navigation With ignition switch ON (II): pulse
26 WHT/RED NABI-SO Communication signal from navigation With ignition switch ON (II): pulse
27 GRN/WHT FRS Drives recirculation control motor With ignition switch ON (II) and recirculation control motor change to the RECERCU position: connected to ground at several seconds
