Display can be opened and/or closed even when a CD is being inserted or ejected

- Go into the Diagnostic Mode (see SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC MODE ), and use the Navi System Link (see NAVI SYSTEM LINK ) to check the connection between the navigation display unit and the audio disc changer.
Is the 6 CD icon red?
YES -Go to step 2.
NO -Go to step 3.
- Check to see if the navigation display unit connector B (10P) and the audio disc changer connector A (18P) are connected securely.
Are the connectors connected securely?
YES -Check open in the wire between the navigation display unit connector B (10P) terminal No. 10 and the audio disc changer connector A (18P) terminal No. 4. If open, repair the wire. ■
NO -Reconnect the connectors. ■
- Substitute a known-good navigation display unit (see NAVIGATION DISPLAY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ), and check to see if the display and the audio disc changer work normally.
Do the display and the audio disc changer work normally?
YES -Replace the navigation display unit (see NAVIGATION DISPLAY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
NO -Replace the audio disc changer (see AUDIO DISC CHANGER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
