Intake Manifold Removal & Installation: Installation

NOTE:  Refer to the Exploded View if needed during this procedure.

• 1. Fuel Pressure - Relieve
• 2. 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect
• 3. Air Cleaner - Remove 
• 4. Intake Air Duct - Remove

• 5. Throttle Body - Move 

  NOTE:  Do not disconnect the water bypass hoses.

• 6. Fuel Bracket - Remove 
• 7. Fuel Feed Hose (Fuel Rail Side) - Disconnect
• 8. Brake Booster Vacuum Hose, Hose, and MAP Sensor Connector - Disconnect

  1. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose (A), the hoses (B), and the connector (C)

  2. Remove the fuel feed pipe (D) from the clamps.

  1. Disconnect the PCV hose (A)

  2. Remove the harness clamp (B).

• 11. Intake Manifold Assembly - Remove

• 12. All Removed Parts - Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

  NOTE: 

  • Tighten the bolts/nuts in three steps; tighten the bolts/nuts until the bolts/nuts sit on the intake manifold, tighten the bolts/nuts until the gasket is compressed, tighten the bolts/nuts to specified torque.
  • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, but do not operate the starter. After the fuel pump runs for about 2 seconds, the fuel rail will be pressurized. Repeat this two or three times.
  • After installation, check that all tubes, hoses, and connectors are installed correctly.
