Power Window Master Switch Input Test (Without Door Multiplex Control Unit)
NOTE:
- Before testing, make sure the No. A2-2 (40 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box is OK.
- Before testing, make sure the No. B42 (20 A), No. B43 (20 A), No. B44 (20 A), and No. B45 (20 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box are OK.
1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode
2. Disconnect the following connector.
| Power window master switch 24P connector |
3. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact:
- If the terminals are bent, loose, or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals look OK, go to step 4.
4. With the connector still disconnected, do the following input tests:
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, go to step 5.
| Cavity | Wire | Test condition | Test: Desired result | Possible cause if desired result is not obtained |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 • 4 | PNK • GRY | Connect terminals No. 3 and No. 5, and terminals No. 4 and No. 1 with jumper wires | Check driver's power window motor operation: The driver's power window should close. |

|
| Connect terminals No. 7 and No. 8, and terminals No. 2 and No. 6 with jumper wires | Check right rear power window motor operation: The right rear power window should open. |
5. Reconnect the connector, and do the following input tests:
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, replace the power window master switch .
NOTE: After replacing the power window master switch, do the resetting the power window control unit .
