Inspect the connectors and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact:

Reconnect the connectors, and do the following input tests:

Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if desired result is not obtained
B10 WHT Under all conditions Measure the voltage to ground: There should be battery voltage. An open or high resistance in the wire
B5 LT BLU Under all conditions Measure the voltage to ground: There should be battery voltage. An open or high resistance in the wire
C1 BRN Under all conditions Measure the voltage to ground: There should be battery voltage. An open or high resistance in the wire
A18 BRN Power mode ON Measure the voltage to ground: There should be battery voltage. An open or high resistance in the wire
C2 BLK In all power modes Measure the voltage to ground: There should be less than 0.2 V.
  • Poor ground (G505 (except japan production) / G506 (japan production))
  • An open or high resistance in the ground wire
C4 GRY In all power modes Measure the voltage to ground: There should be less than 0.2 V.
  • Poor ground (G505)
  • An open or high resistance in the ground wire
A1 PNK Shift position/mode in P Check for continuity to ground: There should be continuity.
  • Faulty transmission range switch
  • An open or high resistance in the wire
Shift position/mode in any position other than P Check for continuity to ground: There should be no continuity.
  • Faulty transmission range switch
  • A short to ground in the wire
