DTC 2607
DTC 2607 : XM Diag
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle 12 volt battery condition first .
- This audio DTC sets when there is poor connectors or loose terminals at the XM antenna connector or an open or short in the antenna lead (the XM Ant. icon is red in the System Links).
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information .
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the audio system.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- Problem verification
-1. Clear the hard error codes .
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode then the ON mode.
-3. Check for hard error codes .
Is DTC 2607 indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Determine possible failure area (XM antenna, others)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connector.
Roof antenna connector B (2P) -3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode Roof antenna connector B (2P): disconnected Test point 1 Roof antenna connector B (2P) (male terminals) No. 1: Test point 2 Roof antenna connector B (2P) (male terminals) No. 2: Is there about 3.6 V - 5.5 V?
YES
NO
Go to step 3.
- Open wire check (SH(SAT/TER) line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Roof antenna connector B (2P): disconnected Test point 1 Roof antenna connector B (2P) (male terminals) No. 2: Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
The SH(SAT/TER) wire is not open. Go to step 4.
NO
There is an open in the wire. Replace the affected antenna lead.
- Shorted wire check (SAT/TER line)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Audio unit connector H (2P) -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Roof antenna connector B (2P): disconnected Audio unit connector H (2P): disconnected Test point 1 Audio unit connector H (2P) No. 1 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
There is a short to body ground in the wire. Replace the affected antenna lead.
NO
The SAT/TER wire is not shorted to ground. Go to step 5.
- Shorted wire check (SAT/TER line to SH(SAT/TER) line)
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Roof antenna connector B (2P): disconnected Audio unit connector H (2P): disconnected Test point 1 Audio unit connector H (2P) No. 1 Test point 2 Audio unit connector H (2P) No. 2 Is there continuity?
YES
There is a short in the wire. Replace the affected antenna lead.
NO
The SAT/TER wire is not shorted to SH(SAT/TER) wire. Go to step 6.
- Open wire check (SAT/TER line)
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Roof antenna connector B (2P): disconnected Audio unit connector H (2P): disconnected Test point 1 Audio unit connector H (2P) No. 1 Test point 2 Roof antenna connector B (2P) (male terminals) No. 1: Is there continuity?
YES
NO
There is an open in the wire. Replace the affected antenna lead.
