AWD with Intelligent Control System Symptom Troubleshooting Index (AWD)

Symptom  Probable Cause  Remedy 
Rear differential overheats
  • Fluid level too low
  • Incorrect fluid type
Rear differential leaks fluid
  • Fluid level too high
  • Clogged breather hose
  • Worn or damaged oil seal
  • Damaged sealing washer
  • Loose mounting bolts or inadequate sealing
HDS does not communicate with vehicle   Troubleshoot the DLC circuit
