DTC C1423-14: Torque Sensor Power Source Circuit Malfunction

• 12 volt battery voltage above 10 V
• Fail safe relay is ON

Operating Condition:

1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode and wait more than 6 seconds.
2. Start the engine.
3. Turn the steering wheel to left and right several times, and keep holding each direction for 10 seconds.

• 1 drive cycle
• EPS indicator on

• Stop or does not start EPS function/assist(Continue system diagnosis: EPS function/assist will return to normal when the system returns to normal)

• Steering column/EPS control unit internal failure
