INJECTOR (9-Speed A/T) (2019 2020 2021): Removal

NOTE: 

• How to read the torque specifications .
• When replacing the fuel injector, always replace all three injectors on the same bank as a set.

1. Fuel Pressure - Relieve
2. Intake Manifold and Intake Manifold Base - Remove - Refer to:

   Intake Manifold Removal and Installation (9-Speed A/T) (2019 2020 2021) 

   Intake Manifold Removal and Installation (6-Speed A/T), ('16-'18 9-Speed A/T) 

3. High Pressure Fuel Pump Cover - Remove
4. Fuel Rail Cover - Remove

5. Fuel Joint Pipe - Remove
6. Fuel Pipe and Injector - Remove

   1. Disconnect the connectors (A). 2. Remove the fuel pipe mounting bolts (B) and nuts (C). 3. Carefully remove the fuel pipes (D) with the injectors straight from the cylinder head. NOTE: If the injector remains on the cylinder head, carefully remove the injector straight from the cylinder head. Note the cylinder number of the injector, and install it to the same cylinder when reinstalling. If you replace the injector, the fuel pipe, or the cylinder head, use a new injector clip (E).

7. Injector - Remove

   1. Remove the injectors (A) from the fuel pipe. 2. Remove the injector clip (B), O-ring (C) and the back-up ring (D) from the injector. NOTE:  If you replace the injector, the fuel pipe, or the cylinder head, use a new injector clip, O-ring, and back-up ring.

   3. Using the pick up tool (A), carefully remove the seal (B) from the injector.
