Steering Heater Test (2016 2017 2018): Test

NOTE:

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations - Refer to: SRS Component Location Index (2017 2018 2019 2020 2021) and the Precautions And Procedures before doing repairs or service.

  1. Driver's Airbag - Remove
  2. Steering Heater - Test

    1. Disconnect the connector (A).

    2. Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table. There should be continuity.

    NOTE:

    When the steering heater temperature is 73 °F (23 °C), resistance value is 2.00 ± 0.20 Ω

    3. If the continuity is not as specified, the steering heater (B) is faulty; replace the steering wheel assembly - Refer to: Steering Wheel Removal and Installation (2016 2017 2018) , or Steering Wheel Removal and Installation (2019 2020 2021)

  3. All Remove Parts - Install
    1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
