DTC C0051-96: Steering Angle Sensor Failure (Sensor Detects Internal Failure)

• 12 volt battery voltage 9.6 - 16.5 V
• No other DTCs detected

Operating Condition:

• 1.

  Start the engine.

• 2.

  Turn the steering wheel left and right for a few times.

• 1 drive cycle
• VSA indicator on

• Degrade ABS performance
• Stop engine drag torque control function
• Stop TCS function (Fade out)
• Stop VSA function
• Stop hill start assist function

• Steering angle sensor failure
• VSA modulator-control unit program not the latest
• VSA modulator-control unit internal failure
