DTC P1703: Clutch Switch Incorrect Correlation

General Description

GHH80400Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.

The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors clutch pedal position switch A/C and clutch pedal position switch B/D. If either of clutch pedal position switch stuck on/off failure occurs, the PCM perform the correlative abnormality detection of the clutch pedal position switches. If the input signals from the clutch pedal position switches are improper while the vehicle is running, the PCM starts the malfunction detection after the vehicle is turned to the OFF (LOCK) mode. If the signal from the clutch pedal position switches are abnormal for a set time, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
